"Scarlett is an absolute perfectionist in everything she does, and she consistently holds herself to an incredibly high standard. One of the biggest challenges she has been working through in class is learning to accept that things won’t always be perfect on the first try, and that’s completely okay. Gymnastics is just as much a mental game as it is a physical one. Not only do we have to train our bodies to perform skills, but we also have to train our minds to stay positive, resilient, and confident, especially when things don’t go to plan. This is something Scarlett has been working incredibly hard on. Over time, Scarlett has been putting in a huge effort to strengthen her mental approach, focusing on not giving up on herself and learning not to judge herself too harshly. This hasn’t been easy, but she has shown real resilience and determination in pushing through those thoughts and developing a healthier, more positive mindset. I am incredibly proud of the way Scarlett has challenged herself to grow, both physically and mentally, and to start letting go of the feeling that she isn’t good enough. Scarlett, you are always good enough and we can’t wait to see you continue to thrive".
